Our Team
David J. Paterno
Mr. Paterno holds an M.S. from the Pennsylvania State University in Engineering Science & Mechanics (1991) and a B.S. from Penn State in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Paterno has extensive engineering and management experience.
He was a Product Engineering Manager at Motorola responsible for a $180 million line of custom microprocessors. During his nine years with Motorola his responsibilities included all aspects of design, manufacture and delivery of integrated circuits. At an Internet consulting company, Mr. Paterno managed client services, software development projects, and software developers. He assembled and managed a team of system administrators to design and build a multi-server production-hosting network. As Director of Engineering at a custom product development firm, David Paterno managed the engineers performing hardware and software development projects, managed customer relationships, and assisted in sales.
Mary Kay Hort
A 1986 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Mary Kay Hort is a director for D., J., & G., Inc. She is responsible for evaluating marketing opportunities and negotiating contracts as well as the financial management of the corporation. Prior to joining D., J., & G., Inc. Mary Kay served as an assistant director of development for the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State in which she was responsible for soliciting major gifts in support of the College. She wrote and edited news releases and major gift proposals for Penn State. In addition, she was an account executive for The Weightman Group in Philadelphia, PA, working with clients such as Scott Paper, Kiwi Brands, Mannington Mills, Tidy Cat, and TastyKake on researching new products, identifying target audiences, and developing creative strategies and advertising in support of their products.
Lori Paterno, M.Ed.
Ms. Paterno holds a B.S. from Penn State University in Health and Human Development with an emphasis on aging adults. She has an M.Ed. from Penn State in Rehabilitation Education. Lori was the Executive Director of the Community Help Center and the Director of the Juniata College Health and Wellness Center. She has worked in the health and human service field for over 15 years providing mental health counseling and managing health programs. She has developed and implemented many training seminars on a wide variety of health topics.
Laura Smith
Laura Smith is our Technical Training Consultant. She has over 15 years of experience working for IBM as a system and program analyst. While Laura holds a master’s degree in computer science and information systems and has extensive technical expertise, she has also had years of experience in developing end-user training programs and workshops. Laura has also acted as a customer consultant for IBM.
Deah Bowes, B.A.
Ms. Bowes holds an Associate Degree in Business. As Director of Professional Services at Sage, Deah is responsible for managing Sage consultants and sub contractors and oversees client relationships and deliverables. Under Ms. Bowes’ leadership, professional services have increased revenues over 30%. Prior to joining Sage, Deah worked in the financial industry as Branch Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Regional Auditor. |
